Hello, RevTogether community, Firstly, I want to share a little insight with you all. It’s been quite a ride since the inception of RevTogether, and like any journey, there are a mix of high-speed straightaways and some unexpected turns. The past few weeks have been no different. As many of you know, I have a significant role in our family business, INORON, and that took a bit more of my attention recently. But, as they say in racing, it’s not about who leads in the first lap, but who emerges triumphant at the end.
Now, just because there’s been a slight slowdown doesn’t mean we’ve put on the brakes. The core essence of RevTogether is to amalgamate the thrill of driving with the responsibility of sustainability. In the backdrop, I’ve been actively exploring and vetting the first batch of projects that we could support. Why settle for just buying climate certificates when you can make a genuine difference with real, local projects?
I’ve also initiated conversations with fellow enthusiasts. Interestingly, the perspectives vary as much as the models of cars they drive. Younger drivers resonate swiftly with our vision, which is encouraging. But, I’ve noticed a noticeable reservation among the older generation. It’s clear that societal and media pressures around the topic of climate change play a role in their apprehension. In Germany, the birthplace of the automobile, there’s a tangible friction between the rich legacy of cars and the contemporary challenges of environmental sustainability. A mix of media representation and cultural dynamics sometimes amplifies this friction.
From these conversations, I glean that RevTogether might have a smoother drive in countries like the USA, where the cultural landscape is different. But Germany, with its rich automotive history, is where we’re kick-starting our journey. It’s more than just a market; it’s an opportunity to align the past’s legacy with the promise of the future.
Thank you for being with us in this race. Keep your engines roaring and your eco-spirit high. Until next time, keep the rubber on the road.
Warm regards, Mark.
